Introduction to the Course

Toy hacking involves related projects, device analysis, decomposition of individual parts, relevant literature research, use of specialized software and hardware techniques, and significant skills and knowledge in this area, which are not trivial tasks. More and more devices and toys are practically IoT devices. For this reason, below we will talk about IoT devices, since IoT also includes wireless and remotely controlled toys and those that have intelligent functions. They are connected with wireless communications or work over Wi-Fi networks. The problem with their security and resistance to attacks is becoming more serious, due to the possibility of manipulating and hacking responsible devices, systems, and networks.

This module covers the basics of IoT and toy hacking topics such as hardware, software and skills to work with various IoT devices. Once mobility is complete, trainees will be able to research, analyze and upgrade not very sophisticated IoT devices. In this way, they will also acquire the ability to evaluate the device's protection for the Internet of Things and its resistance to external attacks.
